Criminology with Foundation

What you'll study This well-rounded criminology course will give you a thorough grounding in the complex field of criminology and the criminal justice system. Your studies will cover criminal behaviour, psychology, penal systems in different countries, and criminal investigation and processes. You will also develop your understanding of the many reasons why people break the law. Our varied teaching methods put you at the centre of your learning experience, stimulating and encouraging your interest and development with a range of activities all designed to fine-tune your criminologist skills. In particular, the work-based learning modules will help you to gain a competitive advantage when you graduate. These modules enable you to gain hands-on experience in a crime-related area such as: • youth offending • victim support • crime prevention • witness support • policing support roles, such as special constables. You will also have access to hands-on facilities at the University of West London, including a crime scene room for Forensic Science modules. Over the course of your studies, there will be opportunities to take part in field trips to further embellish your learning experience.
