About this course

This degree explores the application of technology in business and industry. We will provide a grounding in computing, the construction and use of database systems, new technologies, systems administration, artificial intelligence and business information systems. You will understand the fundamentals underpinning computer information systems and will apply them to society and business. Through theory and hands-on practice, you will learn to leverage technology in a business setting, giving you the competitive edge. Crucially you will understand the drivers for the future trends in this fast-moving area.

After graduating you will be equipped to manage and develop computational technology systems for a broad range of user’s needs. This course will also prepare you for the workplace by teaching a range of professional skills, including communication, teamwork, time-management and independent learning alongside an awareness of relevant legal, social and ethical issues.

During your time at Bangor you will develop an understanding of the fundamentals underpinning computer information systems and their application in industry.
