About this course

Shape your future in Community Care – Gain experience, build expertise, and make a difference.

The FdA Community Care in Practice has been designed for those who are currently working or want to work in community care. This foundation degree meets the diverse needs of the local and national communities and, as a result, students will study a range of topics that will prepare them for a non-clinical career in community health.

An integral part of the programme is the 80 hours of placement undertaken by each student. Whilst on placement, students will experience professional work through a variety of community care or health-related settings. Students will record, reflect and monitor their growth and individual professional expertise to tailor their own career and academic progression.

Scarborough TEC is a small, friendly college that is part of the TEC Partnership. Scarborough TEC is dedicated to the progression of students and offers progression routes in health from entry level to foundation degree.
