Throughout the course, you'll build your knowledge step-by-step, studying core civil and construction topics like structural mechanics, hydraulics, geotechnics, materials, and construction management. You'll also tackle emerging challenges to improve humanity and the environment.

Our curriculum is research-informed and delivered by experts who are working on cutting-edge projects. This means you'll be well-prepared for the workplace. In your first year, you'll take core civil and construction engineering modules, along with modules common to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and computer engineering programmes. The course is supported by guest experts from the industry and site visits. You'll also have access to state-of-the-art laboratories, including the largest slab test facility in Europe and modern instrumentation like 3D laser scanners for surveying.
