About this course

The Chartered Manager Degree apprenticeship is for professional senior managers/aspiring senior managers who take/will take lead responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services to deliver long term organisational success. It is applicable to all sectors – the private, public or third sector – and all sizes of organisation. It will typically take 3 to 4 years to complete, although the exact duration will be dependent on the previous experience of the individual.

This degree apprenticeship has been designed to provide access to development opportunities for as wide a range of individuals as possible. This includes individuals who are at the start of their career and who wish to become professional managers and achieve professional recognition on achievement of the apprenticeship once they have passed their end-point assessment, as well as those who may already have developed practical experience but who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills further. The BA (Hons) Business and Management degree assessment approach ensures that apprentices meet the skills, knowledge and behaviour outcomes as defined in the apprenticeship standard.

The BA (Hons) Business and Management programme is designed to give a broad coverage of the key functions of business and management and the context in which organisations and the people within them operate.

Our Business and Management course is designed to create options for students who are interested in becoming a leader in the world of business. Through detailed theory and experience, the course will build the essential skills that employers expect from graduates allowing you to lead in many areas of business from people management, business analytics to developing a business strategy.

This course is designed to enable you to learn about the subject area, to apply your learning to form opinions and solve problems, to practice subject specialist skills with competence and confidence and to develop abilities to construct your own knowledge and attributes independently. Along with subject based knowledge and skills, you will also develop both academic and employment skills and use these in a variety of ways.
