Our PGCE Secondary Business course is a long-standing Initial Teacher Education (ITE) course, offering a robust path to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

This programme combines university-led training with school-led placement to develop your teaching skills. Transform your business expertise into effective classroom teaching with strong curriculum knowledge and innovative pedagogy.

The course covers secondary year groups, including GCSE and A-Level, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of business education. Experience diverse teaching environments through urban and rural placements, including Welsh-medium schools. Professional teaching experience (PTE) and mentor support guide your development.

The programme includes guest speakers from professional business networks and offers opportunities for hands-on teaching experience, such as the annual ‘Big Business Bonanza,’ providing you with he opportunity to deliver innovative workshops to Year 10 business students. Financial support is available through bursaries and scholarships.
