Why choose this course • Our business management courses give you the opportunity to explore how organisations of all sizes start, run, develop and thrive.

• At Surrey Business School we inspire positive change in business and society, individuals and organisations, locally and globally by delivering impactful research and courses which promote a global, entrepreneurial and digital mindset for the future of business.

• Our award-winning Professional Training placements prepare students for roles in industry.

By combining this core business knowledge with specific expertise in entrepreneurship on our BSc Business Management (Entrepreneurship) (with Foundation Year) pathway, you will explore different approaches to innovation and entrepreneurial culture both within established organisations and new business start-ups.

What you will study Entrepreneurial mindset is at the heart of innovative forward-looking organisations, striving to develop and grow in the dynamic markets. Entrepreneurs are innovators who either build businesses from scratch, or work within their organisations and explore new opportunities to maximise the value creation.

This course offers a wide variety of modules on topics including entrepreneurial decision-making, managing innovation, doing business in the digital economy, developing digital projects, effective business model design, growth strategies in international markets, business planning as well as core business topics.

You’ll gain an overall view of entrepreneurial activities and explore different ways to approach innovation management and embed digital tools into the business models.

You’ll also learn how to consider financial and institutional systems in supporting entrepreneurship in different economies and gain an analytical framework for implementing innovation in the organisations of various types.

We’re always looking to make it easier to access the education we offer, so we have launched the option of taking a degree with a foundation year.

A foundation year is an extra year of study at the start of your course that leads in to a full degree programme. It’s a great option if:

• You don’t have the grades for a full degree course • You have non-traditional qualifications or experience • You’re starting university after some time away from education • You’re looking for more support during the transition into university study.

During a foundation year you’ll learn about your chosen subject, develop your study skills and get used to university life. On successful completion of your foundation year, you’ll be ready to progress to the first year of your degree course.

As a foundation year student, you’ll be a full student of the University and part of our community. You’ll have access to all our campus facilities and support.
