About this course
Your three-year Biomedical Sciences degree will provide in-depth training across biomedical sciences with a strong focus on the science driving forward modern clinical practice. Biomedical sciences are making a difference today in a number of vital areas including investigating potential treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, finding the causes of cystic fibrosis, and improving our understanding and treatment of cancer.
Your learning, based in our multimillon pound, state-of-the-art Institute for Life Sciences building, will encompass all areas of human physiology and allow you to combine interests in biochemistry, physiology, neuroscience, cell biology, genetics, microbiology and pharmacology through our extensive range of modules. You will develop your biomedical laboratory and research skills under the guidance of our world-leading staff and graduate primed to start your career* in fields such as medicine, healthcare, clinical professions, and research.
You can enhance your studies by spending a semester studying at a university in Europe or Australasia and will also have the opportunity to gain valuable experience from a year in employment.
