About this course

The International Foundation Year prepares you for your undergraduate study in your subject area, with the joint aims of English Language improvement, and academic skills acquisition. The programme is delivered by language and subject specialists and there is a choice of seven subject pathways.

The course is three days a week on campus, and you will have further online sessions, and private study tasks, to consolidate what you have learnt in class. On successful completion of your Foundation course, you can progress to a chosen undergraduate degree.

This course includes provision of career and employability skills in both semesters and this provision is embedded into the curriculum, in the Academic skills units, in both semesters.

Employability talks and events are scheduled during your course and the University has a Careers department, who can give further advice during, and on completion of, your studies with us.
