About this course
This course can be studied full-time over 1 year, achieving a Higher National Certificate in Art and Design (Graphic Design) qualification, or over 2 years, achieving a Higher National Diploma in Art and Design (Graphic Design) qualification.
This course is designed for anyone with an interest in a new direction for visual communication and will provide opportunities to work in the broader disciplines of the design industry. Delivery of the course will be at specialist studios at Matthew Boulton College.
This course takes traditional graphic design values and skill sets and applies them to a new platform of interactivity and visual communication. It will cover many different disciplines from print to motion graphics and app design to sonic performance. Students are encouraged to draw inspiration from all areas of art and design as well as bringing their own life experiences to develop an individual visual style. All students will work on live projects for external clients and have the chance to collaborate with industry professionals in our mentoring scheme.
