About this course

Psychology is the study of the mind and human behaviour. Applied psychology places particular emphasis on its application in real-life and clinical contexts.

This course introduces you to the fundamentals of psychology and its professional application, covering important theoretical and historical issues within the subject, as well as notions of the self and identity and vital research techniques. You will go on to explore the brain, hormones and addiction, and engage with psychologists (subject to availability) to learn how effective it is to apply theoretical psychology to real-world examples.
