Animal Training and Performance (Top-up Level 6)

You’ll study the newest advances in the field and use industry-leading facilities to develop your expertise, with access to over 70 domestic and non-domestic species on-site. You’ll also benefit from our excellent industry connections with animal trainers, scientists and behaviourists across the UK.

Emerging science and technology will allow you to understand animal performance to a greater extent as you study. All of our training methods are underpinned by the strictest ethics and supported by the latest scientific evidence, prioritising the physical and psychological needs of animals to enhance wellbeing and performance.

You’ll be presented with the key scientific principles at the forefront of animal training, performance and rehabilitation and you'll have the chance to undertake an independent research project in your area of interest. This will enable you to delve deeper into a topic you care about and contribute to research that’s making a difference to the lives of animals.
