About this course
Ancient History involves the study of the history and culture of Greece, Rome and the wider Mediterranean between the 8th century B.C. and the 5th century A.D, with the opportunity to learn Latin and ancient Greek if you wish. You will have the opportunity to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of your programme.
English Literature You will explore all aspects of literature in English, benefiting from our expertise in a wide range of areas, including American, Irish and postcolonial literatures, critical theory, creative writing, and the relationship between literature and other arts, media and science. You will benefit from access to our world-class Hunterian and Library collections, with strengths in the 18th- and 19th-centuries, travel, illuminated manuscripts and significant single-author holdings.
