About this course

The foundation year of this Coventry University degree will be delivered from our CU Coventry campus. Course delivery from year 1 of the degree onwards will be from Coventry University campus.

This course aims to provide you with a solid grounding for a professional career in the advertising and digital marketing sectors.

The foundation year introduces the world of business with a sharp focus on aspects of management, business communications and marketing in a global context. The foundation year creates opportunities for students to develop key business skills and to put theory, both traditional and contemporary, into practice with real-world scenarios. Students who successfully complete their foundation year will then progress onto the Advertising and Digital Marketing BA (Hons) degree within Coventry University’s Business School.

The degree part of the course has a particular focus on online communication and customer engagement across a variety of digital platforms and organisational settings including global multi-national organisations, national public and private sectors, SMEs, non-profit, NGOs and charities. Students will gain expertise and confidence in search engine optimisation, content management, creative integrated communications, social media marketing, big data analysis, campaign planning and channel management as well as knowledge and application of key concepts and practice within the broader marketing discipline.
