About this course

This course introduces you to the fundamentals of filmmaking, acting and screenwriting practice. It will help the development of your creative, critical and craft skills in preparation for progression to the 1st year of the BA (Hons) Acting for Screen fast-track degree at Central Film School.

Programme Overview

  • Foundation Year followed by two-year accelerated degree

  • Small class sizes and specialist seminar groups

  • Taught by working industry professionals allowing students to receive training to industry standard from people who have up-to-date knowledge.

  • Learn about filmmaking from the perspective of the director, producer and writer and all key crew roles.

  • Access to equipment and facilities outside of class time.

    70% of Central Film School graduates go on to work and /or further study 15 months after the course.

    Professional Perspectives

    We organise a series of events throughout the year where screen professionals tell their stories. In these sessions, a Guest Speaker is invited into the school to speak about their career and experience in the industry.
