This three-year degree course offers a full-time professional actor-training – allowing you to develop the skills needed for a sustainable career as an actor for stage and screen.
YEAR 1 In the first year, you will develop your fundamental acting technique. Projects and subjects you will explore include:
Acting for Camera Scene Studies of Plays by Global Writers Practitioner Lab: Stanislavsky, Meisner, Laban and Katie Mitchell Voice Movement Accent/Dialect Character Transformation Filming a Web Series Creating your Own Work
YEAR 2 During the second year you will undertake industry-focused projects.Projects and subjects you will investigate include:
Scene Study: American Film and Television American Accents Self-Tapes Voice for Animation and Audiobooks Radio Acting in different Film Genres Audio Dialogue Replacement (ADR) Screenwriting Shakespeare Devising, Puppetry and Physical Theatre Motion Capture Producing a Short Film
YEAR 3 The final year will focus on preparation for the industry. Projects you will undertake include:
Research and Development for New Writing Feature-Film Project Public Production of Two Full-Length Plays Voicereels Showreels Audition Technique Industry Showcase
