About this course
Cognition and Learning – Skills & KnowledgeDevelop a critical awareness of models and frameworks for understanding cognition and learning. Develop a thorough knowledge of cognition and learning as an area of special educational needs. Develop a critical understanding of the processes of assessment and teaching with meeting the cognition and learning area of special educational needs. Understand the interplay between cognitive functioning and development, the learning environment and the socio-cultural context for learning. Be aware of equal opportunities and anti-oppressive practise issues to identify and assess cognition and learning difficulties.

Start dates: 15 May and 15 September every year.
Time required to complete this course: You will have up to 12 months to complete the module via our online learning platform - Campus Online.
Progress your studies: This Level 7 module will provide you with 30 credits toward a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert), a Diploma (PGDip) or Master of Education (MEd) on our SEND and Inclusion programme.
